Seminole County's fire leadership announced this week that the county's emergency communications center earned ACE accreditation from the International Academies of Emergency Dispatch, a recognition Chief Matt Kinley described as an international standard for dispatch excellence.

"We have achieved our ACE accreditation — Accredited Center of Excellence Status," Matt Kinley said, praising staff across fire operations and the communications center and noting the county holds multiple accreditations that reflect ongoing improvements in response and dispatch performance.

County manager announced Fire Station 39 is now operating and that a ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled for Feb. 4 at 10:00 a.m. The managers and commissioners praised the fire department and acknowledged the department's operational and accreditation successes.
