The Seminole County Board unanimously approved a budget amendment request (BAR 26-008) to reappropriate $516,686,432 in remaining balances from previously approved projects and grants into the FY26 budget cycle. Timothy Jeks of the Office of Management and Budget presented the item and provided a breakdown of major components.

Jeks said the BAR includes $94,200,000 in grant carry-forward (including housing assistance, septic-to-sewer and public safety grants), roughly $100,600,000 in bond funding set aside for the court phase of a 5 Points development project, and $101,600,000 in the sales-tax program spread across 168 active projects. He listed enterprise fund carry-forwards (water utilities and solid waste) of about $108,500,000 across 190 projects, $43,200,000 tied to fire-department capital such as stations and fleet, and $11,200,000 in the general fund related to Sheriff's Office and facilities work. Other restricted funds account for $21,000,000.

A commissioner moved to approve and authorize the chair to execute the resolution implementing BAR 26-008; the motion was seconded and passed unanimously. Jeks said any remaining budgets from completed projects will be returned to reserves.
