The Greenwood Advisory Plan Commission held a series of unanimous roll‑call votes on Jan. 12, carrying several procedural and land‑use matters 8–0.
Early in the meeting the body voted to suspend Planning Commission rule 701 so the vice president could preside while the president attended remotely. The commission then held required annual officer elections: Mister Schell was elected president and Mister King was confirmed as vice president; both elections were decided by roll call vote, 8–0.
Under special requests the commission continued two zone‑map items for lack of legal descriptions and pending needed information. PC2025‑079 (Swartz Farms) was continued to Feb. 9, 2026, after staff reported the petitioner had not provided a legal description and agency comments indicate sanitary‑sewer questions. PC2025‑081 (Church property) was also continued to Feb. 9 with petitioner agreement.
In other business, the commission approved a waiver request from Lennar Homes for Honey Creek Section 4 (PC2025‑040) to relocate 19 of the required 139 street trees to common areas and buffer yards due to driveway and utility constraints; staff recommended approval with conditions to place replacement trees in trail‑adjacent common areas. The motion carried 8–0.
All roll calls recorded eight yes votes and no dissent. Several items were continued to Feb. 9 for further review; the Atkins Johnson primary plat (PC2025‑084) was approved with multiple conditions and will proceed to secondary plat review after TRC and outside comments are resolved.
