Oklahoma County commissioners approve bids, add contract requisition and several change orders

County purchasing staff presented bid CW226006 for bottled water and hydrating sports drinks, saying, "Based on tabulation of bids received, we're recommending awards to the lowest bid per line item to Eureka Water Company, Staples Business, and the Department of Rehabilitation." Commissioners moved and approved the awards. The board also approved an addition to a blanket requisition: requisition 12604404 to Muschek and Associates for $25,000.
On construction matters, engineering staff recommended a $74,926 change order with Flintco for water and sewer improvements, sidewalk adjustments and site fencing at the county's behavioral care center; commissioners approved the change order. Commissioners also approved a change order that sells excess excavated dirt back to the contractor, bringing $28,500 to the county's coffers.
These procurement and contract votes were taken by voice vote with the chair calling for "aye;" minutes reflect motions were seconded and approved. The decisions will move forward in contract administration and project implementation.
