At its Jan. 13 meeting the Renton City Council concurred with several committee recommendations brought forward by committee chairs and moved by council members.
Planning & Development Committee: The council concurred with the appointment of Kevin Pedic to the Planning Commission to fill a vacancy with a term expiring Dec. 31, 2029. The motion to concur was moved and seconded and approved by voice vote.
Community Services Committee: The council concurred with appointments to the Renton Municipal Arts Commission: Melanie Kates and Emma Foster to terms expiring Dec. 31, 2029, and Scott Dues to a vacant term expiring Dec. 31, 2027; the motion concurred and the council approved by voice vote.
Finance Committee: The council concurred with committee approval of accounts payable totaling $86,135,749.88, payroll totaling $4,513,115.69 (covering November and December pay periods and including 1,389 direct deposits and 17 checks), and municipal court vouchers of $71,275.93. The council also concurred with the finance committee’s recommendation to approve a lease agreement with MBA Cascade Plaza LLC to lease approximately 500 square feet of rooftop space at 17110 116th Avenue SE for limited testing and storage of drones and related equipment at a $0 lease amount; the council moved and approved the finance report by voice vote.
All committee reports were presented, moved for concurrence and approved during the meeting; no separate, individual debate on these items was recorded in the public proceedings.
