Jeff Siegel of the sheriff’s office described the correctional facility’s large key inventory and presented two bids for a digital key control system: Ecosystems at $290,811 and KeyTrak Incorporated at $266,936.38. Commissioners voted unanimously to accept the bids for staff review and recommendation.
Kyle Wagner of the highway department described Amendment 1 to the Sunnyside Overpass agreement, naming NDOT and Norfolk Southern as parties. Wagner said the amendment permits opening the bridge while nearby crossings remain open until final acceptance to reduce traffic disruption during Mall Drive construction; he said the work is expected to be open by June 2026. The board approved the amendment unanimously.
Other routine approvals included a travel request from the prosecutor’s office to send Deputy Prosecutor Ashley Fair to training on prosecuting overdose deaths and a request from Nancy Graber to use the historic courthouse lawn for a one‑hour peaceful demonstration; both were approved.
