Deputy CIO Jeff Anderson told the Aurora City Council committee on Jan. 12 that the city needs a one-year renewal of its computer-aided dispatch and records management (CAD/RMS) software from Intergraph Corporation to keep police and fire dispatching and records operations running while the new Mark43 system is implemented.
"This is a, one-year renewal for the current CAD and RMS system," Anderson said, explaining the renewal covers the year while the Mark43 implementation is completed.
The resolution authorizes a one-year renewal at a total cost of $437,612.40. Committee members had no substantive questions about the vendor or the scope and moved directly to a voice vote. The motion to approve was made and seconded as recorded in the meeting; the clerk announced the motion passed.
The renewal preserves the city's existing dispatch and records software while staff completes the Mark43 rollout, which Jeff Anderson said is on schedule for later-phase implementation. No amendments or contingencies were added to the approval, and the committee moved on to the next agenda item later in the meeting.
