The Wright County Board of Supervisors convened on Jan. 5 and approved a broad consent agenda of administrative and budget-related items, including employee mileage, appointments and multiple resolutions, the board said.

The board approved setting the county employee mileage reimbursement at $0.70 per mile for 2026 and keeping the branch warrant interest rate at 6 percent. Several personnel and procedural items were approved by motion, including the appointment of Eric Eady as the county drainage attorney and the reappointment of Chey Hansen to the board of adjustment for a five-year term. The board also designated official county newspapers and approved lists of medical examiners and deputies.

In a separate, recorded action the board approved a tax abatement for a mobile home in Eagle Grove that burned in 2017; the abatement totaled $1,734. The board received and approved the Wright County Sheriff’s monthly revenue report showing $1,589.09 in county car service fees and mileage, $520 in new and renewed weapons permits and $20 in copy fees (total $2,129.09). As trustees, the board set bid and publication dates for a brush-and-weed control contract for drainage districts for the 2026–2027 term: notice publication the weeks of Jan. 19–23 and Jan. 26–30 with a bid deadline of Feb. 6, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. and bid opening on Feb. 9, 2026 at 9:30 a.m. The motion to set those dates carried.
