A planning staff member said Greene County expects to update its comprehensive plan next year and to adopt a newer building code to replace the county's current 2012 code.

"Probably most excited this next year for our update for our comprehensive plan. We're also going to adopt a new building code. We've been in 2012 for a long time," the planner said, summarizing departmental priorities for the coming year.

The comments were informational; the huddle recorded no formal adoption, ordinance text or vote. Staff characterized the work as part of a longer-range planning schedule and indicated related process items (public engagement, code review) will follow in the coming months.
