The Elyria City Schools Board approved multiple superintendent action items during its meeting, including the district's annual information-technology cybersecurity plan, a contract with the ACE Wellness Center for the 2025–26 school year, and a clinical affiliation agreement among 'Yohobee', Lorain County Community College and Elyria City Schools to place certified occupational therapy assistant trainees in district classrooms.
The board also approved a slate of personnel items: substitute and classified appointments, unpaid leaves for certified and classified staff, athletic game workers and supplemental coaching contracts, and retirements. Retirements announced included Joy Bainbridge (classified staff, 32 years with the district) and certified staff retirements for Amy Chismar (36 years), Penny Herdman (34 years), Janice Lizewski (36 years) and Judy Taki (36 years). The board moved and approved the personnel slate on a roll call vote.
Superintendent Anne Slosch, who presented the items, also offered community announcements including upcoming holiday concerts and recent athletics successes, thanking staff and partners for their work. No executive session was held; the board adjourned following approvals.
