Several local residents, including a family member and Dustin Riley, voiced support, saying the rezoning could remove a longtime eyesore and allow neighborhood improvement. A commissioner moved to approve the recommendation and the commission voted to forward the rezoning to the Board of Commissioners for the Feb. 3 meeting.
The Board of Commissioners will make the final decision on rezoning at its next hearing.
