The Kokomo Board of Public Works and Safety approved a subrecipient agreement on Jan. 14 with the Kokomo Rescue Mission to fund facility improvements under project number B25-3.2.
Peter Shaw, CDBG and HUD program manager, told the Board the project is part of the FY25 CDBG annual action plan and has been allocated $40,000 for flooring replacement in the men's dormitory area of the main building. Under the agreement staff will obtain quotes from local contractors and bring them back for the Board's consideration prior to contracting.
A Board member moved to approve the subrecipient agreement; the motion was seconded and passed by unanimous vote. The agreement covers eligible facility improvements under the CDBG program and will follow required procurement and subrecipient monitoring procedures.
