"I recommend the Board of Public Works and Safety approve pay application number 5 in the amount of $551,353.87," the staff recommendation stated.
The Board moved and seconded the recommendation and voted unanimously to carry the motion.
The action advances construction work that staff described as including apparatus and wall construction, structural steel fabrication, electrical rough-in, earthwork and water line installation. The change order covers insulation work, design modifications and costs associated with relocating or addressing an unmarked AT&T line, according to the staff report.
Because the Board approved placing a retainage amount in escrow, those funds will be held until project conditions for release are met; staff did not state a separate timeline for final completion during the item.
