HILLIARD — The Hilliard City Council approved a slate of resolutions at its December meeting, including an advisory-committee appointment, a contract amendment for fitness equipment and multiple conditional‑use authorizations for tenant spaces on Parkway Lane.
Appointments and contract amendment
Resolution 26‑R‑03 appointed Dean Barbot to a full two‑year term on the Recreation and Parks Advisory Committee (RPAC), with a term beginning Jan. 1, 2026 and ending Dec. 31, 2027. Council discussed combining responsibilities of the now‑defunct Shade Tree Commission into RPAC and praised Barbot’s service.
Resolution 26‑R‑04 approved a second amendment to the contract with Design to Wellness LLC to purchase additional fitness equipment (plate weights and stands) for the Hilliard Recreation and Wellness Center, not to exceed $14,000; staff said the expense was budgeted in the capital plan.
