Amanda Jones of Transportation explained the redlined closure area and noted the dedication would facilitate a connection from Old Wake Forest Road to Atlantic Avenue via Pacific Drive. With no one signed up to speak, a councilor moved to close the street as presented; a motion and second were recorded and the council approved the closure unanimously.
