The Gardner Conservation Commission closed a continued public hearing for proposed work at 827 Green Street (DEP 1600681) and approved standard order conditions plus one operations & maintenance (O&M) condition identified during DEP review.
A project representative (Speaker 5) told the commission that revised plans and revised drainage calculations were submitted in response to Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) comments; City Engineer Rob Baldwin reviewed the updates and sent confirmation by email that he was comfortable with the revised plans and drainage information. Speaker 5 said the applicant had presented the material to the commission previously and asked whether commissioners had any remaining questions.
Commission staff (Speaker 4) said the only outstanding addition requested by DEP was an O&M requirement. On motion by Speaker 2 to close the hearing and on a subsequent motion to approve standard order conditions and the additional O&M language, the commission approved the closure and the order conditions. Commissioners instructed staff to circulate the final order and noted that, depending on the public water supply process and other permitting steps, the applicant may need to return to the commission for additional actions related to public water supply lines that may cross wetland buffers.
The commission’s vote recorded closure of the hearing and approval of conditions; staff said they would follow up with the applicant about permit finalization and signatures.
