Ballantree Golf Club reports operational profit, recognized by council

“Very blessed to have them on the staff,” Brown said while introducing his team. He and other speakers credited staff for improved operations that helped the club record more than 48,000 rounds this year.
Brown announced a year-end operational profit, stating: “It’s $435,548.73.” Council members responded with congratulations and applause for the team’s work. Several council members and the City Manager praised staff recruitment and programming, and the council recognized the contribution of individuals named during the presentation, including Michelle Rice (operations manager), Drew Weiss, Ty Bowen, James Hilton and Robert Shoemaker.
Context: The City Manager noted the club has rarely been fully funded by fees alone in previous years, and that the current staff’s performance marks a notable operational shift. The council did not vote on any policy or budget changes tied to the presentation at the Nov. 17 meeting.
The council moved on to library recognition and other items after the presentation.
