At its Jan. 12 meeting the Town Council recorded a set of procedural and administrative actions:
- Minutes: Council approved the Dec. 8, 2025 minutes by motion and voice vote. - Public hearings: The council set public hearings for Jan. 26 on three ordinance items recommended by the ordinance committee: amendments to Chapter 250 (subdivision rules; item 26‑001 — tabled to Jan. 26 for additional comp-plan review), Chapter 17 (animal control dogs at large — item 26‑002), and the personnel ordinance updates (item 26‑003). Those hearings will allow the planning board, comp‑plan committee and the public to review recommended changes. - Delinquent tax payments: The council authorized the town manager to accept two FY2024 delinquent‑tax payments: $3,140.52 on Tax Map R08 Lot 64 (item 26‑004) and $4,595.35 on Tax Map U14 Lot 48 (item 26‑005). Staff said both are part of ongoing collections and are expected to be brought fully current.
All motions to set hearing dates and to accept payments were made and seconded on the floor; the record indicates unanimous support where noted. The council recessed to executive session later in the evening under Title 1 M.R.S.A. §405(6)(A) for a personnel matter.
