Treasurer’s staff said SymPro integrates with Workday and is widely used by other large governments.

Single‑source procurement reports (item 10b) included Leads Online for prosecutor investigative mapping, an emergency purchase of cadaver bags for the medical examiner (inventory timing issue), and a Symmetry engineering‑software subscription. Commissioners asked for sole‑source documentation; purchase reports were accepted with standard termination language (30‑day notice) noted.

Public‑safety staff presented the Michigan Department of Corrections community corrections grant for fiscal year 2026; Eric Schmidt, manager with Pretrial Justice Services, said the award was smaller than the application request and required budget modifications but will continue to support about 18 positions and existing programs. The committee accepted the grant.

Commissioners also approved a $2,500 community sponsorship requested by Commissioner Powell for Trinity Missionary Baptist Church’s Black History Celebration Gala; the presenter said proceeds will go to a scholarship endowment.
