Attorney Kai Yan Wong told the board the applicants plan to continue the location as a restaurant and to transfer an existing entertainment license. He described a small stage—about 8 by 14 feet—for two to three performers, offering folk music or karaoke as part of the concept. “It's a very small stage, 8 by 14. It's gonna be, like, 2 or 3 people playing music, folk music or karaoke,” Wong said.
A board member moved to approve the transfer; the motion was seconded and passed by voice vote. On the record, the applicant said the proposed manager, Yao Hao Wang, is a U.S. citizen and has prior restaurant experience. The board also noted that the entertainment license will be transferred along with the liquor license.
The applicants and board recorded no objections or additional conditions on the public record.
