Brett Dodd of Talbot County Facilities Maintenance requested replacement of an end‑of‑life HVAC system at the County Roads/Emergency Operations Center (605 Port Street). The council authorized awarding the procurement to Gannon Refrigeration for $66,000; the motion passed with one member recorded as abstaining.
County staff also announced that county offices will be closed Monday, Jan. 19, 2026, in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
The council asked staff to forward standard procurement documentation and to continue outreach to volunteer fire companies and other community partners as part of routine county business.
