Kootenai County approves hold‑harmless agreement for Gold’s Landing dock replacement

Kootenai County commissioners on Jan. 13 approved a hold‑harmless and indemnification agreement required for replacement of windstorm‑damaged docks at Gold's Landing Boat Launch.
Director Snyder (on the telephone) explained the agreement provides indemnification to Worley Highway District for boat‑launch activities on the district’s right of way while Parks & Waterways replaces docks. The docks are located on Lake Coeur d'Alene and the replacement is part of the park maintenance work following windstorm damage; counsel for both agencies reviewed the agreement and had no objections.
A motion to approve the agreement was moved, seconded and adopted by voice vote. The parks department will proceed with dock replacement under the terms of the agreement.
