Tiburon Diversity Inclusion Task Force reviews 2025 events and opens call for 2026 proposals

The Tiburon Diversity Inclusion Task Force reviewed its 2025 cultural events funding and opened a call for proposals for 2026, the committee heard on the meeting's opening agenda.

The committee chair summarized staff analysis and an attached cost summary (Exhibit 1), saying "there were 6 cultural events funded in 2025," and that the events' funding was spread across multiple fiscal years. The chair added that "In 2026 fiscal year, the DITF's event budget is $80,000" and reported the committee has expended "approximately 22,000" on the Jewish festival, the Native American arts and culture event, and Diwali. The chair also said the DITF has "committed $10,000 to each of Nauru's, the AAPI Festival, and Juneteenth" for 2026.
