Scotland County planning board approves minutes and elects leadership

The Scotland County Planning Board approved the minutes of its Dec. 10, 2025 meeting with additions after a motion and second were recorded.
The board then took nominations for the positions of chair and vice-chair. Nominations were made and seconded; a candidate was congratulated as 'mister chairman' and a vice-chair nomination (Devon) was seconded and accepted by voice vote. The meeting closed after a motion to adjourn passed; the board announced its next meeting for Feb. 11.
Those procedural steps were completed before the board opened new business on a separate subdivision application.
