The Board of Supervisors approved a family subdivision (S U P 250013) on Jan. 13 to create a 3.01‑acre parcel at 5255 Riverview Road with a 36.76‑acre remainder inside the Croker Agricultural and Forestal District.
Staff presented the proposal, noting it required a special use permit because the new parcel is below the by‑right minimum lot size in the A‑1 general agricultural district. The Virginia Department of Health confirmed the soils can accommodate private well and septic systems. Staff found the proposal consistent with ordinance requirements and recommended approval subject to conditions.
Chase Grog (LandTech Resources), representing the applicant, described the simple family subdivision and confirmed the front trailer and field location of the new lot. No members of the public spoke in opposition at the board meeting. The board voted to approve the family subdivision on a roll call.
