Applicant Gary John told the board the school serves homeschool families with small, staggered classes and occasional evening or weekend sessions. "We believe there's plenty of parking on‑site," John said, noting the facility was previously permitted as a daycare and that applicants plan only interior renovations.
Board members asked limited questions about prior use and parking; staff confirmed the property had been vacant for more than a year and that taxes would continue to be paid because the use is a private school rather than a nonprofit that would be tax exempt. A motion to approve passed on roll call.
