Hunt County approves multiple road upgrades and subdivision plats

Hunt County’s commissioners approved a package of road upgrades, overlays and plats during their regular session on Tuesday.
The court approved widening County Roads 1042 and 1043 in Precinct 1 (each widened by six feet with specified upgrades funded from escrow), and approved overlays for County Roads involving Precinct 2 with corrected footage to align with the county road inventory. Commissioners specifically corrected two footage figures in the record: an overlay length corrected to 2,640 feet for County Road 2591 and 8,437 feet for County Road 2578 before approving both projects. The court also granted permission to install one pole and transformer within the right of way of County Road 4410 in Precinct 4 under normal stipulations, including tree trimming.
On subdivision business, the court acknowledged completion of public improvements and began a two-year warranty bond for the Valley View subdivision (Precinct 2), and approved final plats or replats for Pecan Grove (Precinct 1), Heartland Addition replat (Precinct 3), Ramirez Strip Addition (Precinct 2), and Hare Meadows Acres (Precinct 3). Commissioners noted developers paid for certain road upgrades tied to plats and discussed a private road (Hare Lane) that will remain privately maintained unless neighbors dedicate right of way to the county.
All listed road and plat items were approved by motion and voice vote during the meeting.
