The Development Review Committee reviewed a special-exception request for 335 South Hawthorne Avenue on Jan. 14. Planning staff said the property is zoned mixed-use downtown and that several uses—group living, place of worship and light manufacturing—require a special-exception permit under that zoning. The site area was stated as 2.242 acres and the future land-use designation as commercial.

The applicant (identified in the meeting as Mr. Cooper) was present. Community development, police, public works, fire and building staff each reported no comments during the DRC review, and planning staff indicated the file is available for further comment. No formal motions or votes were recorded during the meeting.
