Board confirms Derek Anderson and names Brandy Hansen veteran service officer; outgoing CVSO announces farewell event

The Jefferson County Board confirmed two appointments and heard public remarks from the outgoing county veteran service officer.
Under authority of Wisconsin Statutes §59.182(b), the board confirmed Derek Anderson to the Highway Traffic Safety Committee for an indeterminate term; the motion was seconded and approved by voice vote. The board then introduced Brandy Hansen, who described a public-service background that includes 10 years as a Veterans Ombudsman Services Specialist with the State of Wisconsin Board on Aging and Long-Term Care and said she is "thrilled" to serve veterans in her home community of Jefferson.
The chair moved for confirmation of Hansen as Jefferson County Veteran Service Officer, the motion was seconded and approved by voice vote. Yvonne, the outgoing CVSO, invited the board to a 'hail and farewell' on Friday the 13th in February to welcome Hansen and host an open house at the courthouse.
The board thanked Yvonne for her service and welcomed Hansen to the office.
