Jill Meese (presenter) told the council the contract would produce bid‑ready documents covering planning, cultural‑resources review, stormwater and permitting; construction would follow once design is complete.
Council asked whether the listed amenities were required to fit within a given budget or served only as priorities. Meese said the design scope begins with community priorities and identifies what elements could be incorporated given available budget; she said the team would continue public outreach during design. Council also asked about demolition of an existing structure on the property; staff confirmed demolition and material removal would be part of the overall project budget and permitting requirements.
A councilmember moved to approve the Cedarwood design contract; the motion was seconded and approved by voice vote.
