Ishpeming resident urges city action on alley snow pile that floods yards

Bob Olney, who identified himself as living at 173 West Superior Street, told the Ishpeming City Council during public comment that a city-managed snow pile in the alley behind his house has repeatedly caused water to flow into his yard and his neighbors' yards when it melts.
"It's probably 20 foot tall... it's going into my yards, my neighbor's yards," Olney said, describing recurring issues over the last five years and saying he has repeatedly reported the problem to the city and police without resolution.
When asked by the meeting facilitator when he last reported the issue, Olney said "last year" and added he had earlier given up "going to anybody trying to get resolution."
