Scott County planning bodies elect 2026 leadership; commissioners honor Jay Pica

The Board of Adjustment nominated and elected Ray Huber as chair, Donna Henches as vice chair and Rachel Naushbusch as secretary; nominations were closed and each nominee was approved by voice vote. The Planning Advisory Commission nominated and elected Tom Von Hoff as chair, Lee Watson as vice chair and Kent Robbins as secretary; the commission recorded the vote as unanimous (7–0) on the floor.
Planning manager Brad Davis explained the roles of the chair, vice chair and secretary for each body during the nomination process. Commissioners praised outgoing Planning Advisory Commission member Jay Pica for four years of service; staff highlighted Pica’s local knowledge, practical approach and consistent attendance. “Thanks for your years of service, Jay,” the manager said; Pica responded, “Thank you.”
Next steps: officers will serve in their roles through 2026 and the planning commission will introduce a newly appointed commissioner (Ed Holden) at the next meeting.
