Fiscal Court approves county clerk's 2026 budget and a series of transfers, bills and purchases

County Clerk Casey McCoy presented the clerk's 2026 budget to the Boyle County Fiscal Court and identified the proposed total and salary cap. "We're presenting our 2026 budget for the fiscal year, which expands fees ... at 796,000 for deputies, assistants, and other employees," McCoy said. The court moved and approved the clerk's budget and an order setting a maximum salary for the clerk's office at the stated cap.

The court also approved budget transfers of $7,826.80 and accepted cash transfers summarized by finance staff, including $266,679.05 (from 'occupational checks to the general fund'), $75,000 to EMS, and $16,006 (from the opioid fund to EMS for a social worker salary). The court approved payment of the bill packet after adding an enterprise bill of $9,838.43 to the $737,654.19 total for a grand total of $747,492.62.

Public works and fleet items were approved as part of routine business. The court approved purchase of a 5,500 Dodge Ram dump truck from Bachman Auto Group with an estimated total cost of $87,134; the public works supervisor said the purchase was in the budget and would be paid on delivery.
