Onalaska board approves change order and 13 pay estimates; miscellaneous projects closed out

During the Jan. 6 meeting the Board approved a series of routine financial items, including Change Order No. 3 for the 2025 miscellaneous concrete project and 13 contractor pay estimates.
Staff said the change order for the concrete project is a net increase of $6,343.75, primarily because crews used additional topsoil and disturbed extra area while removing tree roots at several sidewalk locations. “This is the last change order for this project to close it out,” staff said.
The Board also approved 13 pay estimates dated Jan. 6, 2026 for firms listed in the packet, including Strand Associates, MSA Professional Services, the State Department of Transportation and others. Both motions were approved unanimously.
Next steps: staff will process the payments and close out the concrete contract.
