At the start of the meeting the Orinda Planning Commission conducted its annual reorganization and elected its 2026 leadership. The vice chair declared the chair's seat vacant and opened nominations. Commissioner Armstrong was nominated for chair; nominations were closed, and a roll-call vote recorded Armstrong's election to the chair position by unanimous vote.

The commission then declared the vice-chair seat vacant, nominated Commissioner Doctors, and confirmed Doctors as vice chair by unanimous roll-call vote. Commissioners Armstrong, Davis, Doctors, Hubner, Jelnick, Marola and Schmidt all voted 'aye.

The commission's clerk will update the official roster and staff will proceed with regular agenda items. No additional policy actions or amendments were associated with the reorganization during this meeting.
