John Gregoire, strategic-planning facilitator with Professional Growth Systems, outlined the ACE Fund's planning timeline and asked for two volunteers to form a small planning committee that will refine retreat outputs into a near-final draft.
Gregoire said the team plans a two-day in-person planning event in September with working sessions running from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day; the planning committee will hold a few additional meetings between the retreat and January to finalize a 90% draft for board review. "From the planning event, we'll get a lot of raw data... that small committee will then get together and try to pull that into about a 90% draft," he said.
The process includes stakeholder outreach after the 90% draft is approved and a possible implementation-planning phase in December; the facilitator said the board could launch the plan on Jan. 1, 2026. Two members agreed to volunteer at the meeting to serve on the committee.
Board members discussed invited participants and noted outreach to assembly members and municipal licensing staff to ensure cross-agency input. The facilitator described the committee's work as a small number of follow-up meetings (roughly three) and some drafting work between now and January.
