Audit oversight committee elects Eric Price chair and Marilyn Booker vice chair for 2026

The Audit Oversight Committee opened at 10:00 a.m. and confirmed a quorum. The committee approved the minutes of its Oct. 6, 2025 meeting. Members nominated Eric Price for chair and Marilyn Booker for vice chair for calendar year 2026; the committee voted to elect both officers after a nomination and second. The chair called for and the committee carried motions to accept the internal audit reports presented that day.
Chair Price confirmed the meeting had been noticed per the open meeting law. Member Kara Kelly proposed allowing public comment both before and after future closed sessions for the convenience of attendees; the chair indicated that option was available for the committee to consider.
The committee recessed for a closed session to receive information on existing litigation and then resumed to complete citizen participation and agenda planning before adjourning. The next Audit Oversight Committee meeting is scheduled for Monday, April 20, 2026.
