Board reviews first reading of graduation policy to align with trimester schedule

Director of Human Resources Rob Daneker presented the first reading of Policy 6.13 (graduation requirements) at the Jan. 6 meeting. Daneker said the policy committee reviewed several policies and that 6.13’s proposed changes were driven by the high school’s ongoing transition from semesters to trimesters; the adjustments are largely formatting and numbering changes to reflect that schedule shift.

The presentation named local school principals and the Director of Teaching and Learning as contributors to the revisions. Because this was a first read, no board action was taken; the committee noted several other policies were reviewed and will be listed as reviewed in the policy files on the district website.
