The Yuma Union High School District governing board voted unanimously to approve the district’s digital 2026–27 course catalog and course fees after staff demonstrated the new online format.
Eric Patton, chief communications officer, walked the board through the catalog’s features: a flip-book interface with clickable table of contents, a search function, articles and advertisements linked to department pages, and the option to download smaller, sectioned PDFs (rather than a single large file) for users who need offline or translated copies. Patton said the approach balances interactive navigation with manageable file sizes for users who prefer PDFs.
Patton described the catalog as “sort of a magazine feel” with embedded links that take users directly to course pages and explained that a translatable version can be produced from the PDFs. After the demonstration, a motion to approve the 2026–27 course catalog and course fees was made and seconded; the board voted in favor and the motion carried unanimously.
Board members asked about differences from last year’s catalog; staff said changes were mostly cosmetic or minor course-number and campus-offering shifts, with some new courses and a refreshed visual design.
