The Yuma Union High School District governing board approved routine consent items and accepted $33,589.50 in donations at its regular meeting.
The superintendent read donated items and services into the record, including a $1,500 estimated transportation donation from Grand Canyon University for a Cibola High School nursing program visit; $4,352.16 from the student council booster club to Cibola High School (class of 2027); $10,000 from the Performing Dance Booster to Cibola’s performing dance program; and multiple smaller donations spanning other district high schools. The total donations for the month were announced as $33,589.50; year-to-date donations were stated as $475,441.90.
A motion to adopt the consent agenda was made by Christie Craddock and seconded by David (board member). The board conducted a roll-call vote, with Miss Mellon recused from the vote; the remaining board members voted in favor and the motion carried 4–0 (one recusal). The board thanked donors for their contributions.
