Councilors questioned whether the prior matter related to the product to be stored; the applicant clarified the previously cited product (propylene glycol) was nonhazardous and not the subject of the EPA matter relevant to this permit.
Following discussion, the council voted to grant petition 24‑26. The chair recorded the vote as 8 in favor, 1 opposed. Committee members who asked questions said the fire chief and other departments had reviewed the technical details and were satisfied with containment and safety measures.
