Kyla Williams reported that the town of Hilton Head Island approved a new professional services contract awarding the Hilton Head Island‑Bluffton Chamber of Commerce the role of destination marketing organization. The broadcast said South Carolina law requires certain local governments that receive accommodation tax revenues to designate an eligible organization to conduct tourism advertising and promotion.
