Marshall County commissioners announced Jan. 14 that personnel-board member Charles submitted a resignation effective immediately and opened a 14‑calendar‑day application window for a replacement.

The chair said the application form is available at marshallal.gov and the application period will close Jan. 27. Commissioners said the commission will review applications and make an appointment before the next personnel-board meeting so the board has a member in place for its upcoming business.

The item was announced on the record and no applicants were named during the work session.
