The commission noted that the county will observe Nov. 3 (general election day) as a holiday and that Juneteenth is currently not a state holiday for county purposes.
Meeting dates and notice: The board set Wednesdays as the standard meeting day (with the option to meet Mondays or other days as needed) and directed that agendas be posted in three public locations: the courthouse first-floor bulletin board, the fund building window, and the Broadwater County website.
Public comment and written submissions: The commission approved an open meetings and public comment policy requiring comments be factual and relevant, setting a default five‑minute limit per speaker with the chair authorized to extend time equitably for a meeting, and establishing a 5 p.m. deadline the day before for written comments to be attached to the meeting record. Commissioners emphasized written comments will become part of the permanent record even if not read aloud during the meeting.
