Connellsville — At its Jan. 5 reorganization meeting the Connellsville City Council approved the calendar of regular meetings for 2026 and adopted a resolution authorizing payment of listed recurring monthly expenditures for the year.
Council adopted meeting dates for January–December 2026 (Jan. 20; Feb. 17; Mar. 17; Apr. 21; May 19; Jun. 16; Jul. 21; Aug. 18; Sep. 15; Oct. 20; Nov. 17; Dec. 15) and set a 5 p.m. start time for meetings in council chambers at City Hall. The resolution on expenditures authorized payment for categories the city described as routine monthly charges, including public utilities, employee benefit premiums, traffic control under $500, vehicle leases, collection fees to the Southwest Regional Tax Bureau, water, UniFirst contracts, copier charges, liability and bond premiums, gasoline and diesel fuel, animal control, legal advertising and contracted maintenance agreements and monthly retainer fees.
Council members moved and seconded the calendar and expenditure measures and the clerk recorded the votes as 'Yes' from attending members. A brief discussion followed about the form of signature authorization and whether any names on signature lists had changed; members agreed the signature list would be handled later since most names remained the same.
The council will review any required follow-up documentation at the next regular meeting on Jan. 20, 2026.
