Lincoln-Lancaster Planning Commission approves consent agenda, including annexation at 6701 S. Folsom

The Lincoln-Lancaster County Planning Commission met Dec. 17 and approved the minutes of its Dec. 3 meeting and an omnibus consent agenda that included an annexation and associated zone change for a property at 6701 South Folsom Street.

At the start of the meeting, the Presiding Officer said a printed agenda and staff reports were available and noted that the Open Meetings Act is posted at the back of the hearing room. The commission first moved to approve the Dec. 3 minutes; the roll call produced eight affirmative votes and one abstention, and the minutes were adopted.

Laura, a staff member, then read the consent agenda into the record. Items included: Annexation 25010 to annex approximately 4.96 acres more or less at 6701 South Folsom Street with an associated Change of Zone (25027) from agricultural residential to residential district; Preliminary Plat 25002 to create one lot for a private school, five residential lots and an outlet for green space and detention at the same address (that item was noted as final action); Special Permit 1304B to amend the Malone Center’s special permit to add a signage plan and increase allowed wall signs at 2032 U Street (final action); and Use Permit 125c to amend the Preserve on Antelope Creek use permit to allow a new freestanding sign and decrease spacing between signs at 7655 Pioneers Boulevard.

The Presiding Officer asked for ex parte disclosures and whether anyone wished to speak on the consent items; none were offered. A motion to approve the consent agenda was made and seconded (second provided by Edens). The commission approved the consent agenda by roll call, recorded in the meeting as an 8-0 vote.

With no non-agenda public comment offered, a motion to adjourn passed and the Presiding Officer declared the meeting adjourned.
