The Douglas County Board of Commissioners unanimously approved a rezone on Dec. 9 that changes Parcel 0110670011 from rural residential to agricultural.
Planning and Zoning Coordinator Laura Dietrich told the board that when the county updated its zoning map in 2006 the parcel was incorrectly shown as rural residential; a map correction in 2008 properly reflected the parcel’s acreage and classification. Dietrich said the Planning & Zoning Commission considered the item at its Nov. 19 meeting and recommended approval.
There were no public comments during the hearing, the board closed the public hearing and voted to approve the rezone 7–0.
What’s next: The rezone was approved on the record at the Dec. 9 meeting; no conditions or appeals were noted in the hearing transcript.
