"Ginger has a one‑year contract, and, you know, she's a quarter of the way into that. And, you know, I can't speak for you, Keegan, but I've been very impressed with what she has done," one board member said at the meeting. Other members argued that a full search (the previously contracted firm quoted at roughly $12,000–$13,000) would show the community the district completed a robust process.
There was no formal vote; the board agreed to continue discussion at upcoming work sessions. Staff noted the search firm had already drafted a job description and that the district could either proceed with posting or rely on internal options; the decision will be scheduled for future board consideration.
