Several local veterans organizations presented to attendees about services and community engagement.
Jermaine Carter, who identified himself as representing Complete Reserve at Seminole County, described the nonprofit as an all-service veterans organization active in Sanford since 1968 that engages veterans and community programming. "We are a nonprofit veteran organization here in Sanford...we represent all branches of the military," Carter said, inviting people with questions to speak with him after the meeting.
Chosen Veteran Outreach and Wayne Flipper, a U.S. Marine, said their organization began after noticing unmet veteran needs and described local outreach efforts. Both groups were thanked by city staff for their participation in community events such as Memorial Day and Veterans Day programs.
Organizers did not provide a detailed list of services, a contact phone number, or funding sources in the meeting record; attendees were invited to speak to representatives after the meeting for additional information.
