Provo updates bridge and roadway projects; University Avenue bridge drilling continues with June opening targeted

Provo City staff updated the Transportation & Mobility Advisory Committee on multiple active infrastructure projects. Lakeview Parkway bridge work and related shoulder and turn‑lane additions were described as largely complete. Staff said the drilled‑shaft and rock‑column stages will continue for several weeks, after which concrete abutments and bridge‑deck work should accelerate; the timeline provided to the committee anticipates the bridge opening in June if construction remains on schedule. City staff also reviewed progress on the Bridal/University Avenue corridor, noted earlier sewer and utility challenges have been addressed, and described near‑term daily ramming and mobilization activity at the north end of the project.
